Keep America Beautiful Programs and Events

America Recycles Day

We need you to host a recycling education or collection event on or around America Recycles Day to encourage your friends, colleagues and neighbors to recycle. Officially recognized on November 15, America Recycles Day is a national initiative dedicated to raising awareness and encouraging people to recycle more at home, at work, at school and out and about. Thousands of education and collection events are held across the country in November each year — please make it one more in your community by organizing such an event. For more information and ideas regarding organizing an event visit: americarecyclesday.org

Recycling At Work

Does your workplace offer recycling? Does your workplace recycling need a boost? Check out this program which supports businesses and institutions to join together and commit to recycle more in the workplace. Get your workplace to join the program and take action to recycle more at the workplace. For information visit: recyclingatwork.org

Recycle-Bowl

Up for a competition? Here is a fun and friendly four-week competition for K-12 schools to promote recycling. Whether a school has an extensive recycling program, or is just launching a recycling program, Recycle-Bowl is an excellent way for teachers, student green teams and facility managers to engage their school community. Sign your community's schools up today. For more information visit: recycle-bowl.org

RecycleMania

Want to increase recycling at your college? Here is an opportunity to win bragging rights, too. RecycleMania is a friendly competition and benchmarking tool for college and university recycling programs to promote waste reduction to their campus communities. For eight weeks each Spring, colleges across the United States and Canada report weekly recycling and waste amounts and are ranked in categories like most recycling per capita and highest recycling rate as a percentage of total waste. KAB partners with RecycleMania, Inc. to manage and grow the program. For more information visit: RecycleManiacs.org

Great American Cleanup

You’re invited to be part of the nation’s largest annual community improvement program. Millions join in to beautify parks, clean seashores and waterways, plant trees and flowers, and host recycling collection events. For more information visit www.kab.org
